Ultra Critical Complex Servo Motor System

A customer needed to upgrade the controls for their complex and highly critical machinery used in the production of their proprietary end product. After an extensive selection process Genesys Controls was chosen to design, engineer and implement the control system all the way through commissioning.

The challenge of the system was to develop controls for an eleven axis servo motor system with multiple axis running in unison. The updating of over 200 data base tags in Wonderware was needed to conform to the new ControlLogix controller platform. New Panel view units were implemented for easy user interface for the operation of the new system. There were significant mechanical challenges associated with outdated gears and drives that required additional adaptors for the new motors. The infinite attention to details and research that was required for the project was carried out by Genesys Controls engineering department seamlessly and ensured a successful startup and commissioning with complete customer satisfaction.
