Remote Monitoring for a Chain of Fueling Stations
Genesys Controls engineering department was selected to engineer, design and implement a large scale 24/7 remote monitoring, and EPA conformance reporting system for a large chain of fueling stations. The current system was outdated and the customer had no real time monitoring system in place to track onsite inventories.
Utilizing a dedicated PC based system, Genesys Controls engineers developed a system that automatically communicated with each fueling station's monitoring controller and downloaded the pertinent information to the PC. Information such as last delivery, amount used, and current fuel levels were then presented in a visual format for real time inquiry on each station. Reports could also be automatically generated to satisfy EPA requirements. As a result of this project, manpower was decreased from over twenty two individuals down to two people. The benefit to the end client was realized in huge cost savings, while streamlining its inventory control, and on time deliveries to each station.
